Set in a beautiful coastal village, we utilise our unique location to enrich the learning experiences for our students.
As a showcase school for explicit teaching, and with a strong focus on High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE), students are challenged in an inclusive and supportive environment.
We enjoy collaborative partnerships with our families and the wider community, working together to cater for the individual needs of our students. Student voice and leadership are highly valued, enhancing educational outcomes and building a positive sense of belonging.
Our highly skilled and dedicated teachers and support staff maintain positive and nurturing relationships with students, in a setting where all students are known and cared for.
Extra-curricular activities play an integral role in student life at Sawtell Public School. Our renowned performing arts and sporting programs enable clear pathways for students to be successful at a variety of representative levels.

Sawtell is a proud Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school
Students at Sawtell Public School are proud, safe and respectful. They are motivated learners who enthusiastically engage in all aspects of school life. Our whole-school PBL framework promotes a positive, safe, and supportive learning culture by explicitly teaching and reinforcing expected behaviours. Expectations are taught and modelled by our Stage 3 students each week.
